HOPE Scholarships

PROMISE Teacher Scholarship Program

A component of Georgia's lottery-funded HOPE program, the Promise Teacher Scholarship provides forgivable loans to students in their junior and/or senior year who intend to teach in a Georgia public school.

HOPE Teacher Scholarship Program (graduate students only)

Like the Promise Teacher Scholarship, the HOPE Teacher Scholarship is a component of Georgia's lottery-funded HOPE program. This scholarship provides forgivable loans to individuals seeking advanced education degrees in critical shortage fields of study.

For information on the current application process, a listing of critical shortage fields and eligibility requirements, visit the Student Services Office, 122 Aderhold Hall or the Georgia Student Finance Commission website.

Guidelines for Keeping a HOPE Scholarship

  • Scholarship counselors are available in the Office of Student Financial Aid in Room 220 of the Holmes/Hunter Academic Building (542-6147) to answer questions.
  • Transfer students who received HOPE elsewhere are encouraged to meet with a Scholarship counselor about their eligibility for HOPE scholarships.
